TITLE: OBIDIENT
Daniel 10:7-8 “And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.”
This was an Angel coming to speak with Daniel, and the people who were close to Daniel ran and hid because of the presence of the Angel. Sometimes it is because of God’s love, we come to church, we worship and say what we say and do what we do because God is Love, but when he stands as God the creator, as the King of kings and Lord of lords and all his reign, don’t think it is easy for you to approach his presence or approaching him, but you should realize that God loves you and that is why he comes to us as love.
Daniel said “I saw this great vision, and there was no strength left in me;” Where does the power come from? Strength comes from God, you walk, see, hear, eat and do all the rest because God has given you the strength to do all that; and don’t say you know I wake up early in the morning, I’m very strong, brethren, thank God.
Daniel 7:10-11 “And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.”
You don’t go to church because you know how to worship a lot, no, but because God’s Love has come to you.
You don’t need to fast and pray for God to speak to you, but you need to understand and if you understand He will speak to you. When you are ready to hear God He comes and speaks to you.
You should realize that fasting and praying is a preparation for you to speak with Him, many think that fasting and praying is the time to speak with God, no, but you should realize that this is your time to prepare so that you are ready to speak with Him. Daniel fasted and prayed day by day, after finishing his prayers, God answered him and heard his prayers, at what time? When he was ready, the Angel said Daniel 10:12 “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” This means that when you are ready to hear, then God sends his messenger to you to speak to you. Why? Because you are ready to hear.
Many people fast and pray because they are sick, so they want God to heal them and not doing it because they want to hear God. They are fasting because they want his help but the question is, what was Jesus praying for when he was fasting and praying for 40 days? He did not ask for anything but was preparing for the great work ahead of him. Right now you need to prepare to hear your Lord. Why did the devil come to Jesus after he finished fasting? This is where most of us fail, why does the devil come last? It’s to bring you back to the beginning. Child of God, if you succeed in fasting and praying and you finish, you should live like you used to fast.
The purpose of fasting is to discipline the body so that we can talk to God because if you fast, it is so that the body does not have much space for you to have time to talk to God. There are people when they finish fasting, they open everything and start gossiping, this means that you are not giving God a chance to talk to you.
The day you fast and the day you finish, you should continue to fast what you had fasted and now God will start walking with you.
Child of God, if you want to blossom, don’t wait for your Glory in Heaven, but your Glory begins here on Earth.
This is our Year of Possession, you cannot own what is not yours, but you will own what is yours, so if you don’t have what to own, what will you own? From the beginning, God gave Man the Power to POSSESS, He gave him the Sky to fill with his pride. Both the Sky and the Sea were handed over to Man to show his Ownership.
What happened when a man does not own? Because of the lack of Obedience that allowed sin to enter. All the violence you see in this world is because of sin; disease, murder, hunger, fighting is due to disobedience. Conflict in marriage is a product of disobedience that gives birth to sin and that sin brings all this violence.
Genesis 3:23-24 “Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
The Lord chased out Adam from a place of abundance, the source of abundance is God and the source of need is sin.
God does not fail to HEAL us or CHANGE our lives, what afflicts us we think we can do by ourselves, there is no great disease to overcome Jesus but know that there is only one place where you have not agreed; and that is to be Obedient.
The life you are living has not defeated Jesus to CHANGE IT but you are living that way because you have not decided to be Obedient. Jesus took our weaknesses so that we can be HEALED . When it comes time to Obey be ready even if possible to shed blood, Jesus will be with you.
When you Obey the Authority that exceeds you, environment will obey you. The day you decide to Obey, money, diseases and everything will obey you and nothing will be against you and defeat you.
