My name is Peter Christopher, and I would like to thank God immensely for His mighty works in my life and my family’s life as well. After my father passed away, I lost hope because he was our main provider. I was in college at the time, and I ended up failing. When my father passed away, I decided to come to Dar es Salaam from Musoma with the goal of finding work washing cars. However, when I arrived in Dar, I had no place to stay because the people I relied on refused to accommodate me.
I struggled for a while, and there came a point where I completely lost hope. That’s when I met someone who attends Efatha Church, and they shared the message of Jesus with me. I decided to give my life to Christ. After I got saved, my life began to change. During last year’s main congregation, I made a promise to give a donation of 100,000 Tanzanian shillings, even though I didn’t know where the money would come from. This year, after another congregation, I pledged another 100,000 shillings for the church’s construction, not knowing where the funds would come from either. After Sunday service, I prayed to God to help me fulfill all the promises I had made.
While on my way home, my brother living in the United States called me and sent me a phone number to contact someone in Dar es Salaam. When I called the person, they directed me to where they were. As I looked into my pocket, I had only 500 shillings left, which was just enough for transportation to meet that person. I told the Lord, ‘I don’t know how this will work out, but I know You are with me.’ When I met the person, my brother had sent a substantial amount of money. I was amazed by God’s grace.
After receiving the money, I paid off my debts and used the remaining funds to pay my college tuition. Now, I am in my second year at Lugalo Health College. Additionally, another family member offered to pay my younger sibling’s college tuition, and they have enrolled at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM).
Truly, God can do anything. I came to Dar es Salaam with the intention of working as a car washer, but after encountering Jesus, He transformed my life and restored my education, which I had been deprived of. With God, nothing is impossible.
